Green Smoothies and my first GIVEAWAY

When Hilary Greenleaf sent me an email asking if I wanted to talk about green smoothies and her new book “The Green Smoothie Diet,” my first thought was “No way, smoothies with spinach are definitely no good.”  For some reason, I decided to reply and say, “Let me check out your book first.”  After reading her information and looking at her recipes, my thoughts changed.  Some of the smoothies didn’t seem that weird.  Then I made one.

I’m no hippie, but I may have to jump on the green smoothie bandwagon.  I wish I had a more appealing way to phrase this, but it’s like a delicious salad that you made better by blending up.  As Hilary says in her book, green smoothies are also ridiculously healthy.  They have tons of different vitamins and minerals in them as well as a huge dose of fiber.  I already told you guys how I love breakfast, but hate getting up early to make it here.  Well, smoothies might be my new best friend.

Hilary also talks about different types of smoothies to get results that you want such as weight-loss, detox, increasing energy, and protecting against diabetes.  This book has a lot of information about how to lead a healthy lifestyle and recipes for green smoothies to help you get there.
