I’m struggling with how to start this post. I just want to repeat “I love french onion soup” over and over, but you still probably won’t understand how much I love it. If I’m at a restaurant that serves french onion soup, I’ll either order it or be depressed until I can go back and order it.
Most Mexican places have vegetarian options. Cheese enchiladas, bean and cheese burritos, stuff like that. What I never ever ever see is vegetarian taquitos. It’s a shame because taquitos are basically fried tortillas around (meat) stuffing and it sounds quite delicious.
Sometimes you really need a tomato sauce and you don’t have one. Maybe you made calzones or mozzarella sticks. It’s tempting to just pick some up at the store but if you want to save some money or if you just don’t want to go to the store, it’s easy to make a tasty tomato sauce at home.
Everyone needs a good tomato sauce recipe. This red wine tomato sauce one is my favorite since it can be used for anything from pastas to dips and even on pizza. I think pizza is probably my favorite application of tomato sauce….and cheese…and bread.
