Corn Chowder and Dumplings

So when it was rainy and cloudy and I just wanted to eat soup, I was hesitant to try a corn soup.  I stay away from corn chowders, because I don’t need a bunch of potatoes.

Tomato Basil Bread

This recipe is delicious. As with all copycat recipes, it’s not perfect, but it’s pretty close. I think that it would be interesting to try to use real tomatoes instead of tomato paste (all I seem to ever have is tomato paste) and see if it gets closer. Until then, this bread is will definitely satisfy your cravings for Panera or Paradise Bakery.

Apple Onion Puff

I wanted these to be a more savory than sweet so they would be a nice little appetizer instead of dessert. I used onion, cheddar cheese, and apple on top of a square of puff pastry.

French Onion Soup

I’m struggling with how to start this post. I just want to repeat “I love french onion soup” over and over, but you still probably won’t understand how much I love it. If I’m at a restaurant that serves french onion soup, I’ll either order it or be depressed until I can go back and order it.

Tomato Gorgonzola Soup

Until recently, I didn’t really like soup.  Something about drinking food with chunks in it seemed really weird to me.  That was until I went to this small soup shop in Tacoma, Washington called Infinite Soups.  I had a tomato gorgonzola soup, and it was amazing.

Miso Soup

As you may have guessed, I’m REALLY picky.  I pretty much assume anything I don’t like must be gross.  Typically, I’m wrong.  The most egregious error I’ve made due to my pickiness was assuming that all soups were gross.

Chinese Steamed Buns

I first tried Shinese steamed buns when a vegan friend prepared an elaborate dinner for a little party.  They were delicious.  Whenever I try to find Chinese steamed buns like her’s, they ALWAYS have pork in them.  That’s when I took matters into my own hands.
